Scope of leadership role

The Clutches & Brakes Division of the Industrial Powertrain Solutions (IPS) segment is seeking a Production Manager to drive performance in New Hartford, CT for a $14M value stream. This leadership position will drive operational performance of production activities as they apply to the manufacture of electromechanical clutch and brake products, for industrial and aerospace / defense applications. Responsibilities include hands-on leadership of the Regal Rexnord Business System, which enables continuous improvement throughout the value stream. Oversee activities of assigned production associates and work with peers across the entire operation.

The right candidate will drive a culture of Continuous Improvement while achieving year over year performance improvement. The person in this role will actively lead Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost performance to exceed our stakeholders' expectations and enable profitable growth in the value stream.

Key Responsibilities

  • Value stream responsibility leading all aspects of the manufacturing operations and associates.

  • Lead a value stream by setting objectives, executing daily management activities, and implementing corrective action (as required) to ensure customer success.

  • Implement Continuous Improvement initiatives and drive results.

  • Contribute to the annual business planning & budget process.

  • Support compliance of the Management System and ISO9001 requirements.

  • Coordinate activities of production associates and guide them in their development.

  • Provide leadership and support to accounting, administration, engineering, and management relating to business performance.

  • As required, coordinate and actively support corporate management / division initiatives.

  • Interface with customer service and/or customers relating to delivery/quality issues as required.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS degree in engineering, sciences, business, or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of lean manufacturing, TPS, 6 Sigma, or similar improvement methods

  • 3+ years supervisory experience in dynamic environment

  • Experience working directly with customers
