A member of the psychiatric crisis staff who participates in admission screenings and intake assessments with licensed clinical staff and is responsible for the coordination of discharge plans and in obtaining precertification from insurance companies to allow for patient admissions.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Collaborates with other Crisis Clinical staff in patient assessment .
    • 1.1 Demonstrates basic skills in collecting, interpreting and communication patient assessment.
  • 2. Collaborates with other Crisis Clinical staff in planning patient care .
    • 2.1 Demonstrates basic skills in identification of patient needs.
  • 3. Collaborates with other Crisis clinical staff with implementation of patient care while on the Crisis Unit .
    • 3.1 Demonstrates correct interventions specific to psychiatry.
  • 4. Demonstrates accountability and responsibility for actions.
    • 4.1 Complies with legal, regulatory codes, hospital policies and documentation requirements at all times.
  • 5. Demonstrates interest in self development .
    • 5.1 Sets realistic goals.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Bachelors degree in Psychology or related field. Masters degree preferred or demonstrated growth as evidenced by attendance at conferences, educational readings and supervision of senior clinicians

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 2 years current clinical mental health experience

HOURS

Part -time, day/evening shift.
