Responsibilities

Essential Duties:
* In the absence of the classroom teacher, tutor will fill in to provide academic support to all clients.
* Complete ASI enrollments for teacher based on exit grades and transcripts sent by individual school districts.
* Audit grade books on ASSIT on a weekly basis.
* Attend treatment team meetings to assist classroom teacher.
* Attend scheduled tutor interviews with site coordinator.
* Assist other Newport locations by providing virtual sessions as needed.
* Actively work alongside teacher pair to grade written assignments or teacher scored assessments.
* Consistently monitor and collect data for each client. This includes: maintaining the EXCEL spreadsheet for academic progress, taking attendance, and assisting with daily check-ins and goal setting forms. Responsible for looking at the data collected and analyzing information appropriately.
* Draft weekly progress reports, which will be sent out by the classroom teacher.
* Input case notes into EMR prior to treatment team meetings.
* Collect classroom inventory - school supplies, paper, pencils, etc.
* Practice compliance with all policies and record keeping requirements.
* Remain current and up to date on all trainings (HealthStream, CPR, CPI, etc.) and certifications required to maintain employment with Newport Academy.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:
* H.S. Degree or GED required
* Bachelor's level degree in related field preferably in Mathematics/Science preferred.
* Successful performance as a Tutor I o equivalent position for a minimum of six months.
