The pay for this position ranges from $108,000 - $127,000.

Job Duties:

  • Coordinates project tasks within cross-functional Research, Development and Demonstration (RD&D) project teams, including setting agendas and leading project meetings, assigning action items, and tracking them to completion.
  • Develops, monitors, and maintains project schedules using Microsoft Project software.
  • Oversees the preparation of technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, customers, and government agencies.
  • Monitors progress in RD&D projects including budgets, schedules, and milestones.
  • Interfaces with customers and federal project managers related to the Company's Advanced Technology RD&D projects.
  • Supports project proposal efforts, including development of work scope, schedule and budgets.
  • Oversees the application of process/mechanical codes (such as ASME, ANSI, etc.) to new product designs and coordinates the certification of fuel cell systems to the applicable codes and standards.
  • Works with suppliers to maintain delivery schedules and qualify equipment/designs for balance-of-plant systems.
  • Ensures that new systems are developed in accordance with best safety practices.
  • This including participating in Hazard and Operability Analysis (HAZOP) reviews.
  • Supports system fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities when needed to ensure proper operation for carbon capture, hydrogen production, energy storage, and power generation systems.
  • Prepares presentations and reports to communicate designs to key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Up to 15% domestic and international travel required.
  • This position is 100% remote; may work from home.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess at least a master's degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and at least 3 years of experience as a Lead Project Engineer or a related role In the alternative, at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as a Lead Project Engineer or a related role would be acceptable.
  • At least 3 years of experience with scheduling software, such as Primavera P6;
  • At least 3 years of experience leading a technical team in a matrix organization and discussing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • At least 3 years of experience with requirements management and professional tools, such as DOORS
  • At least 3 years of experience working in customer facing roles
  • At least 3 years of experience managing project budgets valued at least $1 million
  • At least 3 years of experience obtaining and maintaining third party domestic and international certifications, e.g. UL (Underwriter Laboratory), CE, etc.
  • At least 3 years of experience with the entire product development lifecycle
  • At least 3 years of experience with configuration management tools and processes

The salary range for this position is $108,000.00 to $127,000 per year.
