Switchcraft, Inc. is a U.S. manufacturer of harsh environment circular connectors, cable assemblies and interconnect solutions. Our products are used in a wide variety of industries including medical, industrial controls, transportation and homeland security.

The Maintenance Mechanic works under minimal supervision You will inspect different equipment and perform any repairs or preventative maintenance when required. To do well in this role you should have previous experience in maintenance, be highly skilled with various hand and power tools, and be able to read blueprints and repair manuals.

Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm

$26/hour

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment such as but not limited to (Molding, machining, punch press, plating, general assembly, conveyors).
  • Performing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Handling plumbing, HVAC, Hydraulics, pneumatics repairs and maintenance.
  • Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues and correcting them.
  • Repairs, installs, replaces, and services various types of equipment and systems.
  • Maintain and conduct various facility inspections and repairs.

  • Proven maintenance experience. Or 5 years' experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Related degree from a technical college. (Preferred)
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
  • Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
  • Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
  • Experience performing routine maintenance.
  • Strong organizational and follow up skills.
  • Eye for detail.
  • Professional presentation and attitude.
  • Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
  • Strong time management skills.
