About the Job:

The position of Business Development Manager will have primary responsibility for utilizing Odyssey Logistics Fulfillment Managed Services, service offerings, and capabilities to solve sample management challenges for existing clients and new business opportunities. This position will be responsible for new sales targets while maintaining and growing an existing client account base.


In This Role, You Will:

  • Develop new opportunities to create new revenue opportunities for Fulfillment Managed Services.
  • Create, develop, and maintain customer relationships.
  • Address and resolve customer issues or problems.
  • Keep accurate records of client issues and outcomes.
  • Accurately update and forecast opportunities and maintain notes within Salesforce.
  • New revenue hunter
  • Identify and develop additional opportunities within our current client base.
  • Achieve a combination of new revenue goals and growth with the current client base
  • Build and grow a robust pipeline of new revenue opportunities.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AND PROJECTS AS ASSIGNED.

Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in selling logistics services.
  • Proven track record as an individual producer.
  • Demonstrated experience with prospecting (hunting) as well as managing a full sales cycle (i.e., qualifying, value creation, pricing negotiations, proposals, etc.).
  • Experience in creating and managing a strong sales pipeline as well as achieving annual sales quotas.
  • Ability to "think outside the box" and create innovative solutions for a client's logistics and supply chain needs.
  • Operates well within a high performance, team-oriented culture - highly energetic, positive, hungry, and passionate.
  • Ability to drive high levels of collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in successfully influencing decision makers.
  • Experience with chemical sampling is a plus.
  • Clear understanding of market conditions and gaps and how supply chain decisions impact the bottom line.
  • Operational experience is an asset.
  • Strong background in growing a book of business based on service or geographic location.
  • Ability to present a professional image with effective networking and people skills.
  • Problem-solving skills to develop creative solutions.
  • High Degree of Supply Chain and Business Acumen in Operations & Logistics, Distribution and Transportation, Manufacturing, Finance and Technology.

This is an in-office role based in New Milford, CT.
