Vice President, Global Investment Banking, RBC Capital Markets, LLC, New York, NY:

Develop client relationships, develop business opportunities, and transaction execution. Identify and pursue investment banking business opportunities in furtherance of agreed budgets and plans. Coordinate with Industry, Product and other groups to evaluate and originate new business ideas and opportunities. Build RBC's presence in the above referenced area and assist with other areas as directed by the Firm. Identify operational risks and control deficiencies in the business. Support Managing Directors covering software sector in deal origination and execution that drive business revenue for the firm. Responsible to mentor Associates and Analysts in development of pitch books and related client materials. Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to business activities. Review operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks identified by Analysts and the relevant risk and control functions on a timely basis.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Management Science, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of related work experience.

Must have 5 years of experience in the Software industry.

Must have 2 years of experience:

  • Investment Banking;
  • Capital Markets;
  • Spreadsheet modeling utilizing Microsoft Excel, including analysis at various prices, discounted cash flow analysis, ability to pay analysis, accretion/dilution, and leveraged buyout analysis;
  • Finance and accounting;
  • Managing all aspects of transaction processes, including preparation of pitches, financial analyses, valuations, and marketing materials as well as conducting due diligence, managing day-to-day communication with client and counter-party; and,
  • Presenting financial analyses and client deliverables in both internal and external meetings.

Must possess Series 79 and Series 63 license.

Travel up to 10% domestic.

The base salary for this job is $225,000 per year. This salary does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
