Job Description

We are seeking anAssistant Project Managerto help expand this ever-growing market for our Hartford office.

This role emphasizes project management and delivery, with the ability to develop both professionally and personally. STV offers opportunities to assist with project management tasks, including the preparation of proposals and contracts. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with a solid technical foundation allowing them to work independently.

- Assistant Project Manager :

Provides overall administrative and technical management support to the construction team on project sites from bid preparation through final acceptance by client. Provides support for the total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule and adheres to health and safety standards. Works in conjunction with the field and other staff members to provide technical and administrative support required by the project.

Maintains the project submittal tracking and logs, project permitting records, daily manpower and labor utilization records, records of material deliveries, logs and records pertaining to required controlled inspections. With support from other staff members, provides technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of contract documents, recommends construction methods, sequencing and equipment utilization as required. Compiles and prepares packages of scale drawings and contract documents for building contractors. Prepares and compiles studies and reports required. May supervise others.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.

  • A four (4) year degree in civil, architecture, mechanical engineering, building construction, or related field.

  • ASHE HCC, OSHA 30, CCM, or PMP certification a plus.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills, extreme attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Ability to travel to multiple client locations and daily client/vendor interaction

  • MS OFFICE experience required.

  • Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.

  • Position may be dedicated at one client site full time or may be managing multiple projects at different sites.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Light work: Lift up to 20 lbs. at a time and frequently lift or carry objects 10 lbs. or more. Standing-prolonged periods of time. Repetitive Motion-substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Close Visual Acuity-work includes data/figures; view a computer screen; extensive reading. Mobility around a job/construction site to include walking, bending, crawling, climbing, squatting, or kneeling and wearing of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Compensation Range:

$94,020.00 - $125,360.00
