Duties & Responsibilities:
The Executive Assistant will support the Chief Executive Officer of New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM). This individual will interact and serve as the first line of contact with our internal clients and external partners and vendors on behalf of the executive. This individual must effectively work with senior executives and administrative assistants, team members within the department, with employees throughout New York Life, as well as with external business partners/contacts. The position is based in our New York City Office.
The ideal candidate must have a proactive and learning mindset, excellent organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills, be flexible and agile as priorities change, work effectively with other administrative assistants across the company, and be able to handle confidential information with tact and professionalism. The ideal candidate will possess strong judgement and decision-making skills that impact the quality, timeliness and effectiveness of the executive and her team's day-to-day work. In addition, the individual must possess the demonstrated ability to provide solutions to problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on practice and existing precedents or procedures.
