Job Description
What this job involves - Provide electrical support for the site electrical system. Under general supervision, install, operate, maintain, alter, troubleshoot, and repair electrical power and lighting distribution systems along with a wide variety of industrial electrical equipment. This position requires a high level of technical expertise with various building infrastructures. The position may be called upon to perform other general maintenance and support duties on an as-needed basis.

What is your day to day?
Plan and layout work details in the assembly, installation, testing, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical apparatus, control equipment and wiring used in industrial light and power distribution systems including equipment such as generating equipment, panels, automatic switches, variable frequency drives, complex circuit breaking units, transformer units, substations, and alarms.
Reads and interprets blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings, plans and organizes work, interacts with clients, maintenance staff to determine the best approach to completion of assignments in a safe, environmentally compliant manner.
Completes all required documentation in a timely manner.
Performs complex electrical construction work and installs all types of electrical raceways and bus work, performing the necessary measuring, cutting, threading, bending and assembling of conduit and using the necessary tools such as hacksaw, pipe threader, threading tools, etc. Safely uses a large variety of hand and shop power tools.
Troubleshoots and corrects faulty wiring or electrical difficulties in motors and other equipment.
Diagnoses, troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, upgrades and installs all electrical/instrumentation equipment and systems related to the New Brunswick facility.
Demonstrates knowledge of electrical/instrumentation/control building equipment and systems required to operate and maintain a large pharmaceutical facility.
Demonstrate the ability to anticipate potential problems and take appropriate actions to maximize the condition of facility structures and assets.
Document clearly, all work performed as well as hours to perform tasks on the CMMS (Maximo) system work orders.
Completes all other work associated with the assignment working cooperatively with other trades.
Performs all incidental/associated work required to complete the job assignment. Works with minimal supervision.

Work Schedule
2nd shift, Monday - Friday, 3pm-11:30pm

Desired experience and technical skills

Required
High school diploma / general education degree (GED)
Knowledge of 24 Volt, 48 Volt, 120 Volt, and 480 Volt Electrical Systems
Knowledge of VFD's, UPS's, Generators, BAS's, & Lighting Systems
Measuring, cutting, threading, bending, and assembling of conduit
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license to drive state and JLL vehicles.
Self-starter with ability to work independently.
Excellent computer user skills are required (Microsoft systems).
Excellent communications Skills
Strong work ethic and the ambition to be the best.
Lifting up to 80 lbs.
Frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead.
Working in adverse conditions (i.e., extreme cold, extreme hot).
Working from heights; climbing a ladder, up to 30 ft., with a 300 lb. weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs.
Will work with chemical, radiological, or biological agents that may be hazardous to health if mishandled (including agents which may potentially affect reproduction or the fetus).
Must follow all safety procedures and use personal protective clothing/equipment where specified.

Preferred
Prior experience in a regulated environment such as the pharmaceutical, medical device, or other Life Science industry preferred.
(3) years actual, practical working experience as an electrician in theindustrial/commercialelectrical equipment service industry.
Blueprint reading a plus.
Electrical diagram reading a plus.
Medium voltage experience preferred.
Knowledge of Power Logic systems a plus.
CMMS (Computerized Management Maintenance System) a plus.
