The Department of Pathology and Cell Biology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center seeks a highly qualified data scientistist with expertise in programming languages including C, Python, and R. Knowledge of of single cell RNAseq analysis is important. A background in mathematics and/or biology is preferred. Previous experiences in bioinformatics including aligning Fastq files to reference genome(s), performing single nucleus RNAseq analysis, and expertise in cancer biology are preferred.

Lab Mission/Purpose:
The mission of the Al-Dalahmah laboratory is to define the states of glial pathology in multiple neurologic diseases including neurodegeneration and glioblastoma. We strive to employ this knowledge to develop novel therapeutic strategies to block progression of disease.
Minimum Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in specific research field and 4 years experience preferred.
