Position Summary:
The Integration Architect will be responsible for designing an enterprise integration strategy and executing against the approved strategy. The responsibilities entail strategy definition, solution design, technical leadership, governance, performance optimization, troubleshooting, documentation, and knowledge sharing. The Integration Architect will leverage their knowledge and experience to be part of the digital transformation in enabling the organization to build and consume assets proficiently using the Workato platform. The position is expected to exhibit a high level of problem-solving ability and resourcefulness and is competent to work on complex projects independently and with minimal supervision. The position operates under deadlines and often handles multiple assignments concurrently. The successful candidate will keep abreast of emerging technology trends and take an active interest in professional development to ensure their skills stay current. All duties will need to be performed in accordance with university policies, procedures, and core values.

Essential Functions:
- Designing an integration architecture that is scalable, flexible and secure using the Workato platform.
- Establish integration governance policies to maintain the quality and consistency of integrations. This includes defining data mapping standards, error handling procedures, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Introduce and promote Center of Enablement (C4E) model to enable APIs on a secure, easy to consume and reusable self-serve API platform. Design reusable assets, components, standards, frameworks, and processes to support and facilitate API and integration projects.
- Guide implementation teams on the best coding practices, right choices of Workato components and integration patterns to use in detail designs and implementation.
- Advise technical teams on performance, scalability, reliability, monitoring and other operational concerns of integration solutions.
- Monitor integrations, identify bottlenecks, and implement enhancements to ensure optimal data throughput and response times.
- Act as the escalation point for handling the resolution of complex integration issues.
- Document integration architecture and solutions, create API documentation, and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to ensure that their expertise is transferred to the broader team.
- Communicate project status to various levels of management.
- Oversee the technology and standards for version control.
- Partner with leaders of other disciplines, especially the security team, to ensure proposed strategy/solutions align with information, technology, infrastructure, business and security architectures.
- Look for and act upon opportunities for continuous improvement.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of progressive systems integration experience with at least 5 years of experience working with iPaaS platforms such as Workato.
- Experience in enterprise integration architecture, middleware, and enterprise applications like Service Now, Banner, Salesforce, Canvas and Slate.
- Experience with AWS, SQL and Oracle databases, Snowflake and MicroStrategy.
- Solid understanding of security and governance needs.
- Ability to learn new concepts, technologies and solve problems.
- Passionate about technology modernization through automation and integration.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture, systems architecture, integration architecture and data architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices.
- Experience with integrating on premise, managed cloud and native cloud based applications.
- At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
