This postdoctoral associate position will be housed in the Department of Plant Biology at Rutgers University, New Jersey in Vaccinium breeding program of Dr. Gina Sideli. This position will also work with Rutgers and USDA-ARS scientists at the Philip E. Marucci Center for Blueberry and Cranberry Research and contribute to the overall mission of the center.

Overview: This postdoctoral associate position is available immediately to work on multiple research projects including but not limited to: 1) pedigree analysis of breeding populations; 2) statistical associations between traits of interest and genotype data; 3) analysis of multi-environment trials; 4) genomic predictions of complex traits; 5) phenomics pipelines to enhance breeding. Applicants should have a PhD in genetics, plant breeding, or horticulture, preferably with experience in small fruits or perennial crops and biochemistry.

Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience: The ideal candidate should have a PhD in plant breeding, genetics or related field, and skills/experience required to carry-out molecular breeding experiments using genomics, phenomics, and bioinformatics.
