Our Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced leader of Real-world Evidence (RWE) and Real-world Data (RWD) generation strategy consulting for a Managing Scientist position in our Health Sciences Practice in New York, NY. In this client-facing role, you will manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects to 1) build RWE generation for Life Sciences companies including market access and managed market strategies; 2) implement and operationalize the strategies through observational studies either leveraging existing RWD or via de novo evidence generation, and 3) work on implementation projects to derive insights from the RWD and inform stakeholder decisions from Regulators, to Payers, Providers and Patients. Additionally, you will support the growth of complex pharmacoepidemiology, health economic and outcomes research programs at Exponent.

You will be responsible for
  • Providing RWE/RWD as well as HEOR/MA consulting to Life Science clients
  • Directing/leading teams implementing RWE strategies through observational studies either by leveraging existing RWD or via de novo evidence generation
  • Working directly with senior leaders to develop, own, and continuously improve processes/SOPs for planning, selling, conducting, and executing on a portfolio of complex RWE engagements
  • Working directly with clients to ensure satisfaction and to coordinate corrective actions on projects, should any be needed
  • Defining, tracking, planning, and coordinating business development activities for complex RWE projects
  • Mentoring and developing Scientist and Senior Scientist career goals and working collaboratively across the various Exponent practices
You will have the following skills and qualifications
  • Doctorate or master's degree in a life sciences, policy, or public health related discipline
  • At least ten years of experience managing complex RWE research projects, with preference for experience in epidemiology, RWD, or digital health
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong leadership, change management, and implementation skills - and the ability to work with varied stakeholders

Compensation

Our consultants are rewarded for their technical and business contributions and have an opportunity to plan for future success and career growth. Exponent's total compensation plan is consistent with its expectations of the quality and quantity of work performed and with the professional standards set by Exponent. At the Manager level and above total compensation includes base salary, annual bonus, and 401(k) employer contribution of 7% of base salary.


The base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $200,000 depending on experience and capabilities, which will be assessed during the interview process.
