Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Sr. Business Intelligence Developer (BID) will support and promote the implementation of best practices in the areas of business intelligence and healthcare analytics The Sr. BID designs and develops business intelligence (BI) solutions to support quality, compliance and operational processes. They assist with the development of the BI strategy and will be required to mentor other BI team members to help standardize work processes. Aslo, they work with data engineering personnel which will require an in-depth knowledge of BI data architecture methodology.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Designs, builds, tests and implements BI solutions
  • Troubleshoots Enterprise BI tools, systems amd software
  • Coordinates with users to determine reporting requirements
  • Develops relational and multidementional database queries
  • Supports multiple projects in building data models and visualizations as required
  • Consults with clients and teammates to identify all facets of an issue and generate a solution. Understands potential impacts to processes and systems across organization and factors these into solutions.
  • Maintains and enhances development and design standards and processes
  • Provides mentorship and support of co-workers and peers
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Achieves proficiency in at least (2) or more Business Intelligence tools
  • Support service now ticket system as assigned
  • Responsible for on call duties to support critical tickets
EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelorrsquo;s degree (Masterrsquo;s preferred) in the field of business administration, computer science, and finance, engineering, or information systems required

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

4 years of experience
