The Brand Sr Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Typically a small number of people within the business that provide the same level of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a sub-function. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.

This is an important and exciting role within Citi's Global Marketing Team, leading card design and innovation.

This unique role requires the skill of a senior client management lead, combined with the knowledge and expertise of an innovative plastics design and production pro.

The core of this role includes overseeing and managing card design initiatives across a global organization, from initial design concept development through production of all branded plastics.

Responsibilities include working closely with internal and external stakeholders, creative agencies, Transaction Services and plastics suppliers to help develop card creative briefs and work orders as business owner, precision design for manufacturing, planning, design development, comprehensive prototyping, and execution of EMV and Dual-Interface (DI) plastics.

Ideal experience includes working closely with creative agencies, network's (MC/V/AE) brand management systems, TS/Ops, Procurement, plastic printers and decorative product manufacturers of custom core color pvc, foils, magnetic stripe and printing inks.

In addition, a proven track record of successfully leveraging of new materials, tactile surface applications and advanced printing technology to enhance design is desired.

Candidates should be comfortable managing multiple stakeholders in a dynamic and agile environment and serves as a subject matter expert across the company.

The role also includes overseeing a global a physical and digital plastics library, including managing its content.



Responsibilities:

  • Develop integrated brand campaigns from inception to execution, including day to day management of multiple agencies and strategic oversight. Develop consumer focused and insight driven briefs and lead integrated agency briefing sessions.
  • Drive successful integration of campaigns across all marketing channels/touchpoints, ensure message is effectively executed across multiple paid channels and citi properties. Manage cross functional teams in social, Public Relations, product, media, digital to ensure seamless integration
  • Manage legal and product review process for all brand creative while ensuring creative is clear, transparent and meaningful to consumers.
  • Effectively partner with internal business teams to manage expectations, solve for issues that may arise and consistently add value.
  • Provide guidance to internal business partners in the development of marketing materials, including providing a point of view on messaging, as well as guidance on brand guidelines , imagery and ensuring consistency within Citi's branding system.
  • Partner with and leverage research team to understand consumer insights for brief development and learn from brand research as a way to consistently enhance campaigns.
  • Manage day-to-day relationship with our agencies and provide direction that is clear and based on concrete rationale.
  • Proactively solve issues to ensure consistently breakthrough, relevant, consumer-centric creative.
  • Take ownership over competitive insights for your products/services - ensure working team is aware of new campaigns and implications for Citi.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in branding, marketing or analytics and leading teams
  • MUST HAVE PRIOR KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE PERTAINING TO DIGITAL AS WELL AS PHYSICAL PLASTIC CREDIT CARDS
  • Passionate about advertising and marketing and curious about new developments in the industry
  • Ideal candidates will be organized self-starters with deep knowledge and experience leading card design, overseeing production in a matrixed and global environment
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, written & verbal communication and persuasion skills required
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently
  • A can-do attitude with a solutions focused and agile approach is critical.
