The Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School invites applications for a tenure-track position in clinically-based auditory research to begin July 1, 2022. We especially welcome applications from candidates from diverse backgrounds performing outstanding research at the intersection of hearing loss, inner ear hair cell/spiral ganglion health, and immune system response to injury.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
Applicants should have postdoctoral experience and independent NIH funding, such as a K99 or R01 grant. The tenure track rank will be at assistant professor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Applicants will be evaluated on their potential to establish a prominent, highly collaborative, externally funded research program that investigates clinical models of hearing loss-based disorders with an emphasis on treatments and preventative measures. Individuals with research programs geared towards investigating and treating the effects of hearing loss on inner ear cell inflammation, immune response, and injury are highly encouraged to apply.
