Job Description

WoodhullMedical Center,located in Brooklyn, New York, and aNYU School of Medicine affiliate is seeking board certified/board eligible full or part time pulmonologists to join our hospital-based pulmonary/critical care team.

The ideal candidate will manage the care of chronic respiratory diseases including asthma, emphysema, tuberculosis, lung cancers and other disorders; Develop and deliver treatment plans including antibiotics, steroids and other medications; Provide consulting services to other physicians; assess a patient's ability to withstand the stresses of surgery, and help the surgeons create a breathing-management strategy for each patient. Woodhull's pulmonary division has recently launched a new Asthma Comprehensive Care Center, and provides a full service diagnostic lung function evaluation via a revamped Pulmonary Function Laboratory, and provides cutting edge, evidence-based management including biologic and inhaled therapies for stable and refractory Asthma. The Division's bronchoscopy services have also expanded to provide imaging guided diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for a variety and malignant and benign conditions as well as pleural disease. Service responsibilities are expected to entail 60/40 outpatient/ambulatory, with monthly service in the intensive care unit and step down and shared nightly call. We have opportunities to work within the ICU and Medical Step-down Unit with a bed capacity of up to 24 patients. The candidate will work with other dedicated attending providers and physician assistants.

Woodhull has more than 60 categorical internal medicine residents and medical students. Woodhull, with its full complement of specialty services, is dedicated to provide excellent care to the Northern Brooklyn community.

Candidate must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pulmonary/Critical Care.

Salary -$275k-$300k
