Job Description

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York City seeks a full-time faculty member at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor to serve as in a senior level research position. Candidates should have a strong scientific and postdoctoral experience. Responsibilities will include running a vibrant research program, mentoring of graduate students and post-doctoral fellows as well as clinical trainees, and active participation in the Department's research programs and activities.

The incumbent is expected to build an independent research program in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology related to population health in a discipline such as health services research, epidemiology, or health economics. The candidate will be expected to serve as an independent investigator and to contribute to the scientific advancement of research in obstetrics and gynecology. In addition, s/he will serve as a resource across the department for faculty, staff, and trainees and will contribute to the development of center dedicated to population health that will support the research growth and expansion of our department.

Responsibilities will include;

  • Conduct of Investigator Initiated research
  • Mentoring trainees
  • Contributing to department infrastructure
