Position Summary
At, Stony Brook Medicine, the Practice Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the physician practice operations. The Practice Manager will act as a liaison between administration, office personnel and physicians.This position will supervise administrative personnel and assign and monitor tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Duties of a Practice Manager may include but are not limited to the following:
The Practice Manager may be required to cover weekend hours based on the operational needs of the office.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. At least 3 years of sleep medicine experience. At least 5 years of supervisory experience. Goal oriented. Knowledge of strategic planning. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
Preferred Qualifications: 5 or more years of sleep medicine experience. 10 or more years of supervisory experience. Healthcare supervisory experience. Working knowledge of IDX Scheduling and/or Cerner PowerChart.
Posting Overview: This position will remain posted until filled or for a maximum of 90 days. An initial review of all applicants will occur two weeks from the posting date.
