Forvis Mazars is currently seeking a Managing Director on our Capital Advisors team. In this position, your primary responsibility will be growing a practice through the execution of investment banking engagements, new business development, and relationship management. How you will contribute:
- Managing investment banking transactions
- Deal origination and engagement execution for mergers & acquisitions, debt and equity financing, company divestitures, and strategic options analysis engagements
- Client/prospect interactions
- Developing internal and external relationships to source M&A transactions, prepare and deliver client/prospect presentations, working closely with Forvis Mazars partners/managers and initiatives groups in developing client relationships and marketing strategies
- Marketing support
- Preparing and implementing business development strategies including, participating in corporate finance-related industry conferences and public speaking opportunities, assisting in developing articles, marketing letters, news releases, and other avenues to generate exposure and build the brand
- Team building
- Contributing to a high-performing national investment banking practice through active coaching, mentoring, and recruiting
We are looking for people with Forward Vision and:
- Significant client interaction and experience, particularly showing the ability to develop strong and influential client relationships
- Willingness and ability to travel when necessary
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics or an MBA
- The FINRA Series 79 and 63
- Extensive prior experience at a market-leading investment banking firm with experience in middle-market transactions, preferably in mergers and acquisitions
- Experience in industries such as manufacturing & distribution, food & beverage, technology, business services, and healthcare
- Thorough knowledge of sell-side and buy-side representation, debt/equity/distressed restructurings, deal structuring, and capital raising
- Previous success and proven track record in new business development and closing investment banking transactions (book of business contacts)
