Overview:

Veeco is hiring a Final Test Technician with primary responsibilities to assemble newly manufactured systems and sub systems on the test floor. To conduct diagnostic, setup configuration, calibration, mechanical fit, systems communications and software configuration, Manage all manufacturing test data associated with Acceptance testing (ATL). To Troubleshoot testing activity discrepancies, report discrepancies and work with Engineering and R&D groups as required to resolve diverse & complex issues found during Test. Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Assembly Test Technicians to resolve and close issues and disassembly and packaging for shipping to customer.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot testing activity discrepancies
  • Work with Engineering and R&D groups as required to resolve diverse & complex issues found during Test
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Assembly Test Technicians to resolve and close issues
  • Manage all manufacturing test data associated with Acceptance testing (ETL & ATL)
  • Compile statistical reports for each system during Final Test
  • Analyze discrepancy data for each system in order to provide corrective action and target zero customer source inspection findings
  • Identify and provide improvements of test methods for existing products and collaborate with Engineering to develop methodologies for new products/components

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in testing and troubleshooting complex systems
  • An Associates degree, technical engineering, or technical field service background is preferred

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of hardware, software, and control systems – Analog / D-Net is preferred
  • Experience with high vacuum semiconductor hardware/practices and manufacturing is preferred
  • SAP skills that range from simple inquiries to complex reports and transactions (MM, PP modules)
  • Ability to perform statistical data analysis
  • Skills in identifying and resolving recurring problems 
  • Possesses interpersonal skills to interface with assembly technicians, engineering, management, customers, sales and marketing
  • Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required to meet company revenue requirements
  • Some travel required

The expected salary range for this position is $43,210.00 - $54,733.30 + bonus + benefits. When determining your pay, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
